Chemistry Block Teacher

We are seeking a chemistry teacher for a nine-week chemistry course running from November 4-January 20. This is the second quarter of an introduction to laboratory and quantitative chemistry for 11th and 12th grade students who are interested in studying science and engineering in college or interested in deepening their chemistry experience beyond the general courses taken by all students. The focus is on a quantitative treatment of chemical reactions, including stoichiometry, acids and bases, equilibrium, and the gas laws. The course meets for three one-hour classes per week. Candidates should have a degree in chemistry or a related field. Professional experience in a scientific field is highly desirable.

High School English as a New Language (ENL) Teacher

Join our innovative, committed, inspiring high school faculty! Our gifted faculty hold high expectations for our students, and have created a school culture where the love of learning is evident everywhere.

The ENL position is part-time, approximately 10 hours/week, and will begin November 1, 2019 for the 2019-2020 school year. The ENL program provides English language learners with opportunities to improve and perfect their use of the English language and give students support in their other coursework, as well as help them prepare for writing college essays and applications. A successful candidate will have high school ENL experience, relevant ENL training, and Waldorf teaching experience or knowledge of Waldorf education.

High School Assistant Basketball Coaches

One for our Boys team and one for our Girls Team.

Boys Program: - 9th-12th graders - Practices are on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays 4-6pm - First Practice is on Friday, November 1st, 2019 - Pay is $2,000

Girls Program - 9th-12th graders - Practices are on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays 3:30-5: 30 pm - First Practice is on Friday, November 1st, 2019 - Pay is $2,000

These are part-time, seasonal positions. They are great jobs for someone looking for some part-time work to schedule around their school hours or any other part-time or full-time job(s) they may have. The season concludes February 14th, 2020, and has Nov. 25-29 off as well as Dec 23-Jan. 3rd off for major holidays.

Job Requirements: -Experience with Basketball and coaching-Valid driver’s license -Driving a small bus to and from games -Teach and demonstrate good sportsmanship -Ability to work and communicate with others: head coach, parents, athletic directors

High School History Teacher 2020-2021

Green Meadow Waldorf School is seeking a full time high school history teacher for the 2020-2021 school year. Responsibilities would include 7 main lessons, and social studies track classes for grades 9-12, as well as other duties as needed. (Our last history teacher led the mock trial team and took leadership in our outdoor curriculum!) We are seeking a candidate who is a specialist in the field of history and social studies. An ideal candidate would have completed Waldorf teacher training and a minimum of three years of teaching in the field. If you feel drawn towards this position, don’t hesitate to apply.
